The Joint Clinical Research Centre and California Department of Health Services are honored to host the second Uganda AIDS Conference. We invite all regional and international researchers to participate and present HIV scientific research data.
Our mission is to foster an interdisciplinary approach to HIV research in Africa. One major objective of this meeting is to disseminate the most recent developments in the field of immunology as it pertains to HIV and vaccine development. A second objective is to promote interaction and collaboration between African scientists to address the HIV epidemic in the context of the health issues relevant to Africa.
Among the planned topics are presentations on important developments in current vaccine programs and the understanding of the immune system’s response to HIV in Africa.
The program will allow ample time for discussion and exchange of ideas to generate new research hypotheses, proposals and agendas. Creating a network to promote immunology training and research among investigators from this region will be a fundamental outcome of this conference.
